1. Who can order?
The AVcafe website is designed to assist public libraries in ordering AudioVisual media. To order from the website, you must be:
b). A registered customer with "The AVcafe". To instantly register, simply fill out the online form here.
2. How do I find what I'm looking for?
A. Use our quicksearch located at the top of the page and type the keyword, title, or item number you wish to find.
B. Use the Advanced Search found below the the quicksearch at the top of the page.

You can search by title, format or category, new titles, titles in spanish, titles on sale.
C. From the home page you can, browse by category, items on sale, new titles,
or reviewed titles, using the icon on the sidebar.

3. What if a title is not found on the website?
If an item is not found, a form will appear and you can enter any title you like. These items can be submitted with your checkout list. We will make every possible effort to locate this item for you. Please provide as much information as you have about your request such as producer, year produced, price, ISBN, etc.
4. How do I checkout?
Once you have selected all the items you are interested in, you should proceed to the checkout.
At the checkout, you may modify your list by adding notes, purchase order information, and quantity updates. Remember to save changes to your list before leaving this page.
Once you are satisfied with your list, you may send the list as a quote, in which case we will confirm prices and availability and then contact you. Or you may simply send the list as an order, in which case we will immediately place your order.
Finally, if you do not want to place an order or request a quote right away, you can save your list as a "wishlist". This function allows you to open a previously saved list, edit it and then send as order or quote whenever you are ready!
5. What's new on the website?
Advanced Search
Narrow your seaches by product type, category, and new or sale items.
Review Sources
This feature on our website allows you to search review sources to locate items of interest. There a four review sources: Video Librarian, School Library Journal, Library Journal and Booklist.
Supplier Search
We provide an alphabetic listing of our suppliers. Refer to our suppliers tab.

6. How do I print from the website?
The Print command from your browser will print your current screen. However, since the website is frame based, you will need to make sure that under the options you have "print only the selected frame" enabled and have clicked on the main body of the page.
The "Print this Page" button that appears when viewing items in your shopping caret or wishlist will let you print a print friendly version of the page.
7. How do I return to a page if the "Warning Page Expired" screen appears?
On some browsers you will see a "Warning Page Expired" screen when selecting the back button on your browser. This is a security feature. If you refresh the page, your previous screen will now be viewable. You can bypass this process by using the "Click here to return to your .... search results" link at the top of the page.
